BUTECO
LIKELY
ABOUT
Buteco is located in The Beacon Atlanta development near Grant Park and is the perfect spot for a “light” brunch and by light I mean fried. Almost every dish is either fried or cheesy, except the skewers, but so worth it. Fair warning, this is not a traditional brunch spot (i.e., you won’t find any eggs here) but more of a trendy Brazilian cafe. All the food is cooked in the food truck parked right next to Buteco’s building.
The waffles are made with traditional Brazilian cheese and are perfectly sweet and salty with the guava syrup. We also tried the Tapioca Tots, which had an interesting texture and came with a sauce that had the right amount of spice and sweetness. Next time, I plan to try the coxinha and yucca croquettes. They also serve Intelligentsia coffee and specialty alcoholic beverages.
WHAT TO ORDER
For a party of two, I would recommend (2) beverages & (2 - 3) “bites”. My favorite dishes include…
Drinks - Coffee | They also serve traditional Brazilian drinks
Sweet Dishes - Pão de Queijo Waffles with Guava Syrup
Savory Dishes - Coxinha and Yucca Croquettes (Still need to try, but looks delicious)
