Hell Yeah Gluten Free

ABOUT

Alejandra, the pastry chef and owner behind Hell Yeah Gluten Free (HYGF), has made me a believer in gluten-free pastries. There is finally a place for people with gluten intolerances (or not) to indulge with something delicious. Although I’ve only been to one pop-up the choices seem to include pop tarts, cinnamon rolls, hand pies, cake slices & more. You can also order custom cakes. Someone in line with me was raving about a wedding cake she custom ordered!

The good news is that HYGF won’t be a pop-up for much longer. The retail location will open sometime this summer but in the meantime, you can catch HYGF popping up at Queen of Cream on Friday & Saturday mornings. I would recommend getting there right when they open (or 10 minutes before) to avoid waiting in a long line or more importantly having the first pick of the pastries. Everything usually sells out before closing time.

FAVORITES

My favorite pastry was the ginger apricot pop tart. I want to try the cinnamon roll next though!

I’m more of a fried donut kind of gal but the s’mores donut did have great flavor!
