ABOUT

I wish that The General Muir was around when I went to Emory, but better late than never. If you can’t tell from the picture, this restaurant is designed to mimic a typical Jewish deli in New York City. In addition to their traditional bagels & lox, they also have an amazing pastry case as well as meats such as pastrami!

I don’t go here often, because I have to be in the mood for bagels & lox (although there is a lot more on the menu), but when I do it’s always good. Did you know that The General Muir is under the same ownership as Yalla, Fred’s & West Egg?

WHAT TO ORDER

For a party of two, I would recommend (1-2) mains & (1) pastry. My favorite dishes include…

  • Savory Dishes - Latkes with Apple Sauce & Sour Cream

We ordered the Lower Eastside Platter (pictured below) for two people and it was way too much food. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the coffee.
